FRU Concussion Protocols
Kettering Rugby Football Club is committed to ensuring that all participants and spectators can
enjoy rugby in a safe, supportive environment. To this end, we would ask that all players and
parents/carers familiarise themselves with the following Codes of Conduct and observe them.
Please note disciplinary action may be taken against any player, spectator or club member who
does not follow the principles laid down in the applicable Codes.
KRFC MJ Code of Conduct for Parents/Carers/Supporters

* NEVER force your child to take part in sport.
* SUPPORT your child’s involvement and help them to enjoy their sport.
* ENCOURAGE your child to learn the rules and play within them.
* NEVER punish or belittle a child for losing or making a mistake.
* HELP your child to recognise good performance, NOT just results
* SET a good example by recognising fair play and applauding the good performance of all.
* DISCOURAGE unfair play and arguing with officials.
* Publicly ACCEPT officials’ judgement.
* Use correct and proper language at all times, including on social media..
* Above all, remember:
– These are children
– This is a game
– The coaches are volunteers
– The referees are human
– This is not the six nations

*Learn the rules and always play within them.
*Play because you want to not to please coaches or parents.
*Coaches are there for your development – always be attentive during all sessions. Being ‘coachable’
is the best skill you can ever have.
*Never question an official’s decision.
*Control yourself – verbal or physical abuse of team-mates, opponents or match official IS NOT
ACCEPTABLE.
*Learn about the disciplinary procedures and how it affects the whole club and not just your team.
* Remember – without the managers and coaches, you would not have a game at the weekend.
They give their time up to help you – respect them.
* Winning is NOT everything.
